CTA’s read across America Event was a success!
CTA Officers along with School District officials donned red and white striped hats as they experienced the joy of reading to children! Students at Pleasant City Elementary had an exciting time during the CTA’s read across America event, in which district officials and CTA Officers each read one of Dr. Seuss’s famous books to a participating class. Dr. Seuss’s 104th birthday was celebrated during the NEA sponsored Read Across America Day which has been recognized annually for the past 13 years. The participants included Theo Harris CTA President, Kathy Gundlach, CTA Vice President, Joseph Moore, Chief Operating Officer, and Ann Killets, Chief Academic Officer. The participants were all given a token of appreciation by Jacqueline Perkins, Principal of Pleasant City Elementary School. This year’s event was a success and we invite all teachers to look forward to sharing in the excitement next year by organizing and participating in NEA’s 15th Annual Read Across America Day.
