Retirement Committee
CHARGE:
- Plan and coordinate teacher retirement activities.
SPECIFIC CHARGES:
- Collaborate with the CTA, FEA & NEA retirement committees on retirement issues.
- Plan a retirement recognition for CTA members (month of June).
- Present workshops during the year including but not limited to the following:
- Social Security
- Teachers’ Retirement System, the Florida Retirement System, Drop Program and Private investing.
- Financial planning
- FEA/CTA/NEA/AFT Retired opportunities/Activities
- Collaborate with the GR Committee to communicate with legislators in Conjunction with the Legislative Committee to enhance retirement benefits.
- Present information concerning retirement issues to the R.A. as needed.
NOTE: Please leave a copy of the Committee Report, Committee Planning Chart and Budget Worksheet for the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Director, and in the committee file.
