Retirement Committee

CHARGE:

1. Plan and coordinate teacher retirement activities.

SPECIFIC CHARGES:

1. Collaborate with the CTA, FEA & NEA retirement committees on retirement issues.
2. Plan a retirement recognition for CTA members (month of June).
3. Present workshops during the year including but not limited to the following:
   • Social Security
   • Teachers’ Retirement System, the Florida Retirement System, Drop Program and Private investing.
   • Financial planning
   • FEA/CTA/NEA/AFT Retired opportunities/Activities    
4. Collaborate with the GR Committee to communicate with legislators in Conjunction with the Legislative Committee to enhance retirement benefits.
5. Present information concerning retirement issues to the R.A. as needed.

         NOTE:  Please leave a copy of the Committee Report, Committee Planning Chart and Budget Worksheet for the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Director, and in the committee file.
