Elections Committee
The CTA Elections Committee meets monthly and as needed to conduct business concerning CTA elections and Contract tvoting.
Below are the charges of the CTA Elections Committee:
GENERAL CHARGE:
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct CTA elections in accordance to CTA Bylaws and election procedures.
SPECIFIC CHARGES:
- Maintain voting credentials for Representative Assembly monthly meetings.
- Develop time lines and conduct all CTA elections.
- Check all election materials two (2) weeks in advance for errors, etc.
- Meet to plan for regular and special elections.
- Prepare all posting and notifications to insure correct election procedures.
- Monitor the (schools) redistricting plans in each area, as it relates to increased membership.
- Report election results by HOTLINE within 48 hours, and by newsletter.
NOTE: Please leave a copy of the Committee Report, Committee Planning Chart and Budget Worksheet for the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Director, and in the committee file.
NOTE: Persons running for elected positions cannot have access to voting passwords or pre-counts.
