Elections Committee

The CTA Elections Committee meets monthly and as needed to conduct business concerning CTA elections and Contract tvoting.

Below are the charges of the CTA Elections Committee:

GENERAL CHARGE:

  1. Plan, coordinate, and conduct CTA elections in accordance to CTA Bylaws and election procedures.

SPECIFIC CHARGES:

  1. Maintain voting credentials for Representative Assembly monthly meetings.
  2. Develop time lines and conduct all CTA elections.
  3. Check all election materials two (2) weeks in advance for errors, etc.
  4. Meet to plan for regular and special elections.
  5. Prepare all posting and notifications to insure correct election procedures.
  6. Monitor the (schools) redistricting plans in each area, as it relates to increased membership.
  7. Report election results by HOTLINE within 48 hours, and by newsletter.

NOTE: Please leave a copy of the Committee Report, Committee Planning Chart and Budget Worksheet for the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer,  Executive Director, and in the committee file.  

NOTE: Persons running for elected positions cannot have access to voting  passwords or pre-counts.
